Every March we celebrate the art and craftsmanship of fragrance with National Fragrance Week along with The Fragrance Foundation UK.
It is time to shine a spotlight on the magic of the fragrance industry, a world rich in history, creativity, and beauty. As Scotland’s First Fine Fragrance House we are passionate about unlocking the power of scent and are embracing #truescent
We have a special 20% off site wide for the duration of National Fragrance Week. Please use the code TRUESCENT to unlock your 20% until 23rd March.
Scent has a remarkable ability to transport us - to cherished memories, familiar places, or emotions. It’s this deeply personal quality that makes perfume one of the most meaningful gifts.
From the complex, smoky allure of Metamorphic to the vibrant, floral elegance of Kingdom Botanica, each Kingdom Scotland fragrance is crafted to evoke beauty and emotion.
Appreciating the Power of Smell
First is to understand the science of smell: it goes through the limbic system, the most ancient and primitive part of the human brain, which is thought to be the seat of feelings, emotion and memories.
Everyone has an instinctive response to scent, which is immediate and focuses on your emotions rather than your rational thoughts.
Scent has a unique ability to enhance our wellbeing and can have a huge impact on our mood. Notes such as vetiver can be found to be grounding and calming. Fresh top notes such as bergamot and lime can be uplifting and lighten our mood. Rich warming, base notes such as ambered woods can help us relax and feel calm.
Celebrate the Joy of Fragrance
National Fragrance Week is a time to celebrate the complexity of the craft and skill of fragrance creation.
Our luxury niche perfumes are expertly crafted with the finest sustainable ingredients. We work with the botanists and horticulturalists at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to conceive and create our scents and a proportion of our profits go towards RBGE biodiversity research in the face of climate change. Everything is conceived, blended, matured and bottled in Scotland.
Create Your Own Fragrant Wardrobe
Fragrance is not just for a quick spritz now and again – we can build up a personal library and use it in many different ways – including in our homes. The idea of a fragrant wardrobe is to carefully curate your own selection of perfumes for different moods, occasions and seasons. Almost like a drinks cabinet to share and enjoy.
Unlock the power of your sense of smell this National Fragrance Week and enjoy exploring this very special gift.
