Scent Story
THE SCENT
A soft, earthy floral. Æthereal opens with pink pepper - bright, uplifting, restless with possibility, sharpened by bergamot and juniper berry.
At its heart is tuberose absolute, intoxicating and endlessly complex. Iris butter tempers it, cool and powdery, and a mushroom accord gives texture as much as scent: soft suede, pale velvet.
Frankincense, cedarwood and sandalwood carry it to the skin, warm and enduring, where it becomes quietly, entirely yours.
THE COMPLEXITY
Complexity is our signature, and in Æthereal you can actuallly see it. The fragrance holds an unusually high concentration of natural materials, and their waxes and lipids do not fully dissolve in the perfume. The result is a soft natural haze. It has a magical feel to it.
Perfect clarity would have meant harsher filtration, which strips away the heavier molecules that give Æthereal its body, its velvet texture and its slow reveal on skin. Scotch whisky knows this debate well, the finest single malts are bottled without chill filtration. Our reasoning is the same.
THE NAME
Before science, there were four elements: earth, air, fire and water. There was also a fifth, finer than them all. This was the aether, which was thought to carry light.
Edinburgh-born James Clerk Maxwell unified electricity, magnetism and light, and believed light travelled through that unseen medium. Science later let the aether go but kept his deeper truth: invisible forces move through everything.
Maxwell saw light in empty air. In a Scottish forest, we found something equally unseen and equally real. That something is scent, molecules moving through air and stirring memory before thought. Æthereal is our fifth fragrance and the fifth essence, quinta essentia, the root of quintessence.
Transcendent. Mesmerising. Illuminating.
